Dog Training Supplies

As any dog owner will attest, training supplies are essential to communicative and working relationships between canines and humans. In order for an individual to successfully train a dog to obey commands and respect rules, a great deal of patience, structure and persistence is required. Training supplies enhance the course by providing the tools necessary to speed the effective process.

Effective Dog Training Supplies

If you are the proud owner of a new puppy, the first thing you should do (after a routine veterinary check, of course) is to invest in some training supplies. Like children, puppies need to learn to respect their environments and obey the commands of their human parents. In fact, it is absolutely essential to the overall well-being of your dog.

Training kits are an excellent product offered by many local and online pet supply stores. For new puppies, the PuppySmart training series is an excellent choice. A collection of VHS tapes and DVDs that offer step-by-step instruction on housebreaking, walking on lead, anti-chewing methods and more, PuppySmart is just like having a personal trainer offering instruction from the comforts of home . . . only much less expensive.

Other effective training tools for dogs are Innotek remote collars. Innotek remote collars are affixed with remote-controlled sound boxes that elicit a variety of sounds and electronic stimulations. Not usually recommended for small puppies, these collars are ideal for dogs who have mastered basic commands but still tend to misbehave on occasion. Of course, no training tool would be complete without a handful of dog treats. Dog treats are essential to positive reinforcement. All-natural dog training treats such as Liver Biscotti are easy to carry, quick to eat (important during training), low fat and actually good for your dog's teeth, too.
