The current 2004 DOG BYTES Photo Contest began February 1, 2004. The current deadlines are as follows:
- No new photos are being accepted. The deadline for all photo submissions was March 31, 2004.
- Voting began April 4, 2004. (date changed from April 1)
- First Round of Voting ends May 30, 2004.
- Final round of voting ends June 13, 2004
- Winner announced June 14, 2004.
- Prizes shipped by August 30, 2004.
