TAYKUMPTA
This is Taykumpta (pronounced TAY-KUMP-TA) and he is eight years old.

We adopted Tay from the Monroe Shelter in 1997 soon after we moved to Monroe, NY. He had been in the shelter for quite awhile; the dog warden wanted to find a suitable home and was having challenges (because he’s a big dog) finding the right adoptive family. Tay’s former owner was a police officer and he had been in training to be a member of the Canine Squad.

This dog is an important part of our family and we love him dearly. He protects us, loves us unconditionally and we are so blessed to have him. Guests who visit our home who don’t like dogs come away liking Tay. He’s playful, smart and loves to ride in our SUV.
